As Nature sheds her crimson cloak, there are secrets revealed beneath that linger on the branches...
Infatuated by the perfection of small birds' nests I indulge myself by collecting a few abandoned ones...
During the coldest of Winter's days they also will remind me that Spring will soon follow...
With the onset of cooler weather I'm indulging another passion... knitting a lovely cowl of beautiful superfine alpaca and wool Araucania yarn named Liwen.

How beautiful the little birds nests are! And I love the pretty cowl you are knitting... this time of year, I begin making pretty mufflers, however, I don't know how to knit, I crochet them... your yarn is gorgeous!... xoxo Julie Marie

Makes me want to make a cup of tea! Lovely!
Lovely, lovely photographs Susan! The world hidden among the branches is quite breathtaking indeed. I, too, have my wee collection of bird nests...they are all so delicate, yet sturdy against wind and rain... perfection.
Your beautiful knitting shall certainly keep you warm and cozy when the cold arrives, and all too swiftly I fear. Your choice of fibers and colours are exquisite!
Special blessings,
Judy

I've never had the good fortune to find an abandoned bird's nest, how lucky you are!
I would love to happen upon some little birds nests. So cute to display and decorate with. Prizes from nature.

Beautiful images Susan. I love the colours of your cowl. How quickly the seasons pass - it seems not that long ago we were so looking forward to Spring.
I love your new header with Madelaine in another starring role - so sweet!
