Vast
As sunlight paints her way across the morning sky reflecting its pale pink glow off the jet streams in the atmosphere another day is dawning...
The air is rich in birdsong... each male heralding a mate with his saturating lullaby.
I've placed little mesh bags of yarn snippets gathered over the Winter and hung them from branches and hooks. I call them nesting bags.
Hopefully they will attract the busy builders to use them for their nests. I do hope my colour choices will match their decor..,.
A bright cotton market bag is on the needles. Doesn't that yarn just sing Spring...
Miss Maddie seems oblivious to the excitement... she's waiting for it to warm up enough to dig in the garden.
Have a wonderful week...

What a lovely thing to do for the nesting bird! I may copy you - it would be the only hint of colour in the unrelenting grey of the rainy days. Once in a while there's a teaser of blue sky, or a trip to town where blossoms are on the trees, but up here by the ponds we're way behind.
Off to collect some yarn ends.....
Oh great idea for the yarn scraps! And Miss Maddie, how sweet she is all sleepy in her pretty pink bed.
So, was there a treat on the pillow when she went to rest? :)
What a great idea, Miss Maddie looks so sweet!
What a wonderful idea! I love the nesting bags and would love to offer the same service to the birds in our yard!
Thank you for the inspiration!

Susan, that is the most wonderful idea I have come across in a long while - I may copy you too!
The shades in the yarn of your work in progress reminds me of sugar almonds and dear Maddie looks so sweet and comfy in her snug bed
Thank you for your kind comment at mine just now.

How kind you are and thoughtful to think of putting up some yarn for the birds to build their nests!
Oh I was so thrilled to get your note this morning and had to come by for my own shot of peace here too.
I think your birds will have much lovelier nests than my own poor things. What a wonderful idea Susan! If your birds don't care for the colors then they must be daft!
Oh I wish I were Maddie right about now.
I loved the pretty bags you have been knitting for Easter. I love it when I get to see what you are working on to beautify your world. I know the new pillows for the porch will be lovely!
sending love...
Hello dear Susan~what a lovely gesture, hanging those nesting bags! And "Oh my goodness" Miss Maddie looks even sweeter (if possible)while she is sleeping!(:
Thank you for your sweet email!
hugs~Kathy
What a wonderful idea! I love the nesting balls! I shall borrow your idea, if I may, and make a few myself.
I love your idea Susan! Thank you for sharing. It would be lovely to spy a nest twined with one of my own yarn snippets. I think I'll have to follow your lead. (:
Oh my , not only does your Miss Maddie look like my Kenzo but ... she loves to dig in the garden too! LOL
What a shame they can't get together and have a play date!
Oh, such a sweet idea for the little birds! I hope you find a nest with some of these pretty yarns included. :)
Happy, Happy Spring to you & yours,
Zuzu
