Sisterhood
Every little hamlet has a piece of paradise and in the historic village of Jordan there lies a needlework shoppe 'Stitch' which tantalizes the senses of each one that enters its doorway...
The architecture of the building itself is a delight to the connoisseur of history... wooden plank floors, high vaulted ceilings and huge original pane windows that allow the sunlight to filter in, seducing creativity and imagination.
The proprietress Jocelyn captivates you with her knowledge, appreciation of the past and ability to make one feel a part of the community.
A sisterhood lingers within this place evolving from a desire to create something beautiful...
I for one have fallen under its spell...

oh Susan,
how I long for a place like this!
I love the little cubbies filled with color and texture and the old house where all this wonderfulness lives.
I would be under it's spell,too.

My gracious! That is a lovely shop. I could spend hours, and dollars, in there:).
Blessings,

What an amazing place to just oogle over! This may sound silly, but I could just stare at a cabinet filled with fabric or yarn... purely for the joy of the colors and textures! Just beautiful. Thank you for sharing~ xxxVicki
Oh my word! What a beautiful place. All that gorgeous yarn and fabric. Thanks for your kind comments. I'm very excited about the forthcoming arrival of our puppy. Have a lovely weekend!
Hi Susan,
Your endorsement of this lovely shop makes me want to come and visit. I don't even do stitching anymore, that's how inviting it sounds. I think just the fact that it is full of beautiful color and texture would be enough for me.
hugs

Hello Susan~Like the others, how wonderful it would be to have such a lovely shop nearby! I imagine they have workshops too...I would love to learn how to knit! Thank you for sharing your pictures with us Susan! Have a lovely weekend!~Kathy
What a lovely shop Susan. I could spend many a happy hour browsing those beautiful cupboards. I love storage of any kind and the way the wool and materials are stacked and displayed is an absolute delight!
The village of Jordan sounds utterly intriguing too.
Have a wonderfu weekend. Jeanne x
Hi, I could move right in here.....
Thank you for calling in at my blog!
I just love your photos of the yarn in the cupboards - just the sort of photo I would like to take myself! I would dearly love to be 'crafty' but my fingers can't do what my brain asks now, and anyway, I was never very artisitic! But I love photography, and I can drool over the texture of yearns etc. with the best of you!
Please call in again, I will certainly call into your blog again!
Susan...the Sisterhood is well and truly alive...How very beautifully presented...What a delightful building for the needlework shoppe...it looks like one could spend ages and ages in there absorbing it all...Dzintra♥x
Oh, my dd would *love* this place...she is the seamstress *and* the knitter of the family!

Such a perfect place to be spellbound! Oh how I miss browsing through shops to find just the perfect one to wrap up in. Winter seems to always take too long this time of year. You have inspired me to take an afternoon fieldtrip soon!
What an absolutely gorgeous shop! I love it all however, I particularly love the photo of the wooden bowl filled with yarn...so simple yet so beautiful.
Wishing you a lovely day,
Doreen
Hi Susan- I'm hoping you are wrapped warmly with this new passion that has you spellbound! With all of the cold weather, I hope you're not snowbound!
