The Play

Mother Nature presents seasons like acts in a play. Occasionally drawing the curtain ever so slightly to yield a glimpse of what is yet to come...

Below the stage sits the orchestra, instruments ready tuning and practicing softly... preparing for the accompaniment .The old season may linger not yet mellowed to share the stage with Spring. But she has a predilection to dominate the performance and will not remain in seclusion much longer.

And so with the melting of the snow, the drawing of the curtain one can observe little green shoots of the snowdrops peeking out from the cold, dark earth. The birdsong, the orchestra takes on a more alluring pitch... eventually filling the garden with its symphony. The sun will shine brightly casting down its warmth.Nest building is waiting in the wings complimenting the performance.

Soon spring will surround us and we'll be shrouded in her beauty once more...

I would imagine that you are ready for the warmth of the sun,the buds bursting open, the medley of scents and colors that says "It's Spring". I know I am.

Good to hear from you and thanks for letting me know all is well with you and your family.

Oh what a totally lovely entry! Thank you so much.

It's the time of year, when winter gets long. And when we begin to grump a bit. Even though we usually enjoy whatever season is here.

But oh my, that does get hard, when winter gets long. Thank you for this entry!

Thanks for visiting me! Here I can see what I long for so much right now when the snow just keeps on falling and falling.
I have been to Historic Niagara but that was a couple of years ago..-95 to be exact. I liked it very much as i like everything with a bit of history...I recall running from one shop cross the street to another and so on...while my mail travelcompanions wondered what I was doing! So much to discover...so little time!

That icy and snowdrops photo is stunning. I found violets yesterday beneath my bedroom window. A sign that the seasons are indeed turning.

Dzintra lead me here to your blog, and I'm so glad she did! Its Gorgeous. I've only been to Niagra once... many years ago when my oldest son was only 18 months old. I could've stood over that majestic water's edge for hours, maybe days! Awesome wonder and largeness.

You are so fortunate to have access to all that wonderful fabric history ... If it were my job, I'm afraid I'd be hording piles and not sharing it much. (: Vicki

Oh my goodness... Miss Jackie has a great eye for the photography, doesn't she? The snowdrops are wonderful... a favorite of mine (too) and won't it be wonderful to see just enough sun to allow them to raise their little heads out of the ice? Beautiful pictures!
