Wannabe

When we were little girls playing dress-up we dreamed of being a fairy princess...

And when the time for going to school arrived we wanted to be pretty and smart...

High school was next, shifting the wish list to include athletic, popular, well dressed...

As we matured popularity turned to marriageable, loving and devoted...

Looking back on life now the slate has been wiped clean. There are only a few things that remain important... healthy, dedicated, humble and most of all, I wannabe me...

Wonderful words to describe the cycle of life Susan - so very true for us ... I wonder what the equivalent would be for the male of the species!

Very special artwork too.

That's one of the benefits of getting older - you can see the bigger picture. I always tell myself that you gain more than you lose!

Well written! Life changes and we, our goals and wants, change with it. The main thing is to be true to oneself.

So true - each of life's seasons has its challenges and pleasures.

thanks for visiting my blog - yes, fall means winter is not far behind here in Canada. Time to soak up all the sunshine we can.

That post touched a nerve - a good one. For so many years I just wanted to be me, but couldn't figure out just how to do that. When we finally settled down at Pondside everything came together - although I'd have to say that age and maturity probably played a huge roll!

your words are truth and soul.... would that we could all begin as we mean to go on...without those stigmas and ties to the past that in the long run have absolutely nothing to do with who we are now. I am ME now and like it!

Thank you so much for commenting/telling me that you see the sides of my new Background, as brown almost with a wine coloured hue. Purrrrrrrrrrfect!

And *Little Miss Maddie* is in an Autumn-y setting herself, I see. :-)
