Delights

Anyone that knits, quilts, sews, creates... realizes there are always leftovers.

Sometimes only a few metres of yarn, ribbon, lace or small remnant of fabric remain.

These in turn can have an accumulative effect.

So one must seek a purpose for these snippets...

I shall contemplate such lovelies to devise a project...

If I could just put down this knitting long enough, in a new shade of Noro Furin blooming in new Spring colours...

Well, after that I need to know just what's being created on those needles!
I know what you mean about bits and pieces of leftovers - I have tubs full! I wish you lived down the road - I'd be suggesting an afternoon to use up those delightful snippets!

So glad you are able to get outside to take these photos Susan, do I glimpse a very lovely shade of blue sky?

I'm intrigued as to what you may create from all your delightful snippets.

Have a wonderful sunny weekend.

What a feast for the eyes you have! I love spools and spools wrapped full of snippets and remains! I have a few treasured wooden spools myself, but mine are very small. I keep my eyes open for these treasures.

Though they take up space, don't you just love the leftovers? I'm look forward to seeing what you devise to use them up! xxxVicki

What pretty remnants. I tend to keep all of my scraps from projects and use them in other projects:). BTW, I love your spring banner!

Hi Susan,
I am in love those nests, sitting so wonderfully on that chair. They just SCREAM spring to me!!! Are they by chance from your trees? And the yarns and snippets of lace are a FEAST for the eyes and pallet!!! I too would love to know what you are creating with those LOVELY spring colors!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!

Thanks for popping by - It's cold but very sunny here in the South of England. We had fresh eggs from our own hens for breakfast & my teenagers have gone for a dog walk - lovely !

Looks as if spring is making its way to you in those sunny photos.
Ah,leftovers: “Leftovers in their less visible form are called memories. Stored in the refrigerator of the mind and the cupboard of the heart.” Thomas Fuller 1608-1661
But those "visible" ones do seem to accumulate...I'm sure you will come up with something creative and delightful!
In the between-time enjoy your knitting...love the colors!
