Welcome March

As we open the gate to the month of March and even though the snow drifts still lie heavy in the fields, I am most thankful it has not arrived like a lion...

The first signs of Spring initiate many auctions that keep me working regularly but I still find a chance to play...

Making buntings from vintage scraps fills my sewing table.

And inspiration has stirred with knitting swatches to felt... amazingly in harvest colours.

There is a distinct chirping of a Robin outside.
Enjoy your first week of March!

* Pic of gate and lion statue taken at the historic Queenston Heights in much warmer weather.

March has come in like a lion around the ponds. We're shivering in that damp cold that is particular to this part of the country.
Auctions - oooh I'd love to go to one!

Love the buntings out of those vintage linens. Just beautiful, as are the lovely gates. Spring isn't here yet, but soon enough it will come. Beautiful pictures as always.

March came roaring here. So longing for spring, and digging in the soil.

Such a lovely garden gate...may it beckon Springtime...even a wee whisper would be most welcome.

You always post luscious textiles! So fortunate you are to get first dibbies. I can only imagine the feel of fine linens between my fingers. Yummmm!

Warmly...Judy ox

March came in like a lamb here as well Susan, and I too am grateful for that. Even if it leaves like a lion, I will know that the calendar still says we are closer to warm days again.
I am happy to hear that you got to enjoy some days of fun too. It is a sunny day here again today and I am loving it all.
sending hugs

Hi Susan,
Things are beginning to warm up here too! A little snow. A little sunshine. I can't wait to hear that first little robin. :)
Your vintage scrap bunting project sounds so fun - I hope you'll share the results with us all.
Happy weekend!

Yes March hopefully will be one of the better ones. It seems we always get great weather right before we reopen at the end of the month and then APril reminds us we still have a chance of freezing!
