A Magical Place

When all is wrong in the world it is hard to imagine such, within the tranquility of the woods...

As you meander down the well-trodden paths venturing deeper into this magical place with the high pitched shrill of the meadowlark above it is easy to get lost in time and place...

Perhaps the forest fairies rest beneath a generous toadstool...

Or listening for the echoes of our ancestors seeking to find the huge oak burls that were once hand-carved into batter bowls...

Or a little pixie dancing amongst the decadent wildflowers...

Although Nature has her darker side with the beauty that lies before us all is quickly forgiven...

You are a woman after my own heart Susan! A walk through sunlit fragrant woods is a welcome retreat from the stresses of life.

Maddie looks adorable in your new header.

Hi Susan, It looks so beautiful by you. It seems spring is coming slowly here. The lilacs and the apple trees have just bloomed. The irises usually are always bloomed by this time and will not bloom until June this year.
I hope you are have a wonderful spring,
Julie

Each of us needs a magical place, Susan. No surprise to me that yours is in a sun-dappled wood, and that while there you feel a connection to the past.
Beautiful
