Cozy

With our obsession for large, audacious places, it is refreshing to find that some still seek small and cozy as a much more tranquil choice...

This Lilliputian chapel along the Niagara Parkway has witnessed many a country wedding...

A tiny clapboard cottage with its inviting front door beckons one to visit within and enjoy a comfortable chair by the fire...

Even a simple stone home,

with the path leading to the side door and right into the kitchen encourages a weary soul to rest a spell...

Hope you too are enjoying these simple days of Summer and finding a place that's cozy...

What a beautiful post Susan. I could walk right in either of those small homes and be perfectly content.

In case I haven't said so recently...I LOVE your blog.

How perfectly charming! Love the stone cottage although I would find it hope to find it cool and dark on such a hot here in OR. Maddie looks completely content on the little table or bench in the woods.

That little church is too cute.
My favorite place that I rented yrs ago was a tiny little doll house. I remember that place with such fondness.

Living in a small home myself I can appreciate the cosiness and intimacy of these wonderful buildings. Lovely images Susan - and Madeleine gets cuter with every photo!

I love cosy spaces - gardens and houses. There's something so wonderfully Miss Marple-ish about the second little stone building.

The white house is wonderful! It has not been summer in Holland this year. It is so chilly that I wear sweaters and keep quilts over me for warmth. I just told my husband that we need to start the woodstove tonight. I do not want to put on the heat since it is August. I am thinking a cup of hot cocoa would taste good right now. :-)

Hugs from Holland ~
