I adore Marie and have not seen "The Duchess". I rather think that I would really enjoy that movie. Thanks for the heads up.Kris
I just watched The Duchess Friday night, and it was a very well done movie. I always love the costumes and settings in period dramas.
Will look out for this one Susan...what a splendind costume, and all that candlelight...so mesmerizing!!! Oh to be able to try on something like that...Thank you for this one...I just love how the world of blog is so sharing!!!Blessings to you, Dzintra
Oooo..sounds great!!! I can't wait to see it! Hugs,D
The Duchess is on my list of films to see, good to know it is definately worth it. Over here much has been made of the parallels with the life of Princess Diana. I looked up your Robins and was suprised to see how different they are, although more colourful, yours are much more like our Blackbirds or Thrushes. Minus 12! Now that is COLD!
i still haven't seen Marie, if you can believe that...i will have to get both of them when this comes out on dvd...the costuming looks incredible...
I've seen it...it is so sad in places, but so beautiful, I just loved it......can't wait to see the 'Young Victoria' gosh I love these period dramas.I must say Susan this is one of the nicest pictures I have seen of it. so pretty.Hugs Lynn xx
Oh, I just tried to rent it the other night, but it wasn't available. I will definitely try again!
Will check out The Duchess. Thanks for your comments on The Izannah Walker Chronicles - if you scroll back to summer you will find the Strong Museum Izannah dolls featured there. I took a trip there in July - it was great!
Oh how I long to sew a dress like that! Beautiful Costume. I bet the movie is wonderful!Blessings,Michelle
Hi, Susan,Thanks for the visit and the kind words. We've got The Duchess on our list, too . . .Blessings,BILL
I missed this one when it came out, so thank you for the reminder. I need to see it... for the sets especially!
Marie is one of my MOST favorite movies (I saw it while expecting my daughter and hoped I'd have a little blonde baby just like Marie!) Its hard when they end so sadly though...Im such a softy...
Great idea and inspiring for us wanna-be's!D.
I enjoyed this movie too. It took a few days before it was available at our movie rental store but after some persistence I finally got to watch it. She was an incredible woman.
I keep watching this movie over and over. I cannot get enough! Thanks for the post.Dianna Castnerhttp://dcastner.blogspot.com/
