Buttercup Yellow and Violet Blue

With the changing of the seasons comes the alluring introduction of new colours in Nature.

And so does the invitation to knitting from heavy wools to light delicate cottons.

I am spellbound by the use of soft butter yellow and country blue, both of which come in many shades.

The clarity of the sky, a carpet of woodland violets, the deep colour of indigo...

old butter crocks and bowls, a delicate magnolia tree...

each one enticing creativity throughout the months of Spring...

I knew I'd love the post when I read the title. I love colour, and one of my favorite combinations is clear blue and yellow.
Isn't it wonderful to welcome spring - all the possibilities in the garden and in life!

Lovely, lovely pictures of Spring flowers. So appealing! I too love those colours together. Maybe it is because of the Nature affinity. Enjoy your weekend! Ros

Blue and yellow are a wonderful combination, always a sign of spring and so perfect in nature.

I love the pattern and colour of the crockery and the little artwork is charming.

Hope you are enjoying a spring-like weekend there.

I love the painting by Kim Jacobs (actually I love all of KJ's paintings, and collect her calendars)... and back a number of years ago when country blue was in vogue my house was decorated in just these colors. Maybe it will come back in again soon? I was going to list my favorites images from this post right here... but can't! I love them all! (: xxxVicki

As you mentioned in your last post...Mother Nature has a generous paint box! And each season has its own palette...have fun with your new colors!
