A Celebration In The Month Of June

'Tis but a year since I ventured into the Land of Blog.

So in light of the new friends I've met, the Balls, and Soiree I've attended, I'm celebrating with a giveaway.

I would like to bestow a delicate, antique infant gown upon the participant whose name will be selected. A second name shall be chosen to recieve a packet of vintage lace snippets and tibits of trim. Perfect for prim and doll creating.

Please leave a comment or for those without a blog feel free to email. When the 15th arrives I shall place all the names into a battenburg lace pillowslip (most appropriate for a textile appraiser's draw) and select the winners.

Thankyou for making this past year so enjoyable!

Please note - The gown is for display purposes only.Being of 100 years in age it is not without tiny imperfections. I call them beauty marks.

Susan, happy blogiversary...i had to read this three times thinking i had surely mis~read the giveaway prize...this is such a generous gift...and how sweet that you call the imperfections beauty marks...one of my very favorite baby dresses is quite stained and tattered and that just makes me love it all the more:) i really like when things show their age and wear, they are signs of being well~loved to my thinking...

I'm here, I'm here! See me hiding over under that chair! Didn't want to be to obvious....By the way Susan I have 48 copies (all gently read) of Nancy Drew books all published before 1952. I have finally handed them down to my daughter. When I was young, back in the 60's, it was a game of my mother and I played. We had to find the oldest copies of the books when we had our one day a week out and about! The oldest copy won lunch from the other! I ate a lot of free lunches, lol! Thanks for your comment on my blog! Pam

Such a Generous Giveaway but I would expect nothing less from you. I've learned so much this past year reading about romantic sea voyages, long lost love stories, precious textiles, and your adoration for The Wizard of Oz. But mostly I've learned to call you friend!
Congratulations Suzy Q!
